Olive & Champagne is a Connecticut wedding planning studio run by Carisa Lockery. This policy explains what we collect when you visit oliveandchampagne.com or send us a consultation request, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions are always welcome at [email protected].

What we collect

Details you give us. When you request a consultation we receive:

your name, email address and phone number
anything you choose to share about your wedding, such as a date or season, guest count, ideal setting and your message
whether you would like to receive occasional planning inspiration and news from us

Technical details. Like most websites, our server records the IP address and browser details of each visit. We store the IP address with each consultation request to help us spot spam.

Cookies. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our security check, provided by Cloudflare, may set cookies that are strictly necessary to protect the site and the form from bots.

How we use it

to reply to your request, arrange your consultation and plan your celebration
to send occasional planning inspiration and news, if you left that option ticked
to keep the website and form secure and free of spam
to keep business records and meet our legal obligations

Emails from us

The consultation form includes a box to receive occasional planning inspiration and news. It is ticked for you, and you can untick it before you send. You can stop these emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any of them or by writing to [email protected]. Opting out does not affect your consultation or our planning together.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the website and our business, and they handle your details only on our behalf:

Our web host, which stores the website and our database of consultation requests
Our email provider, which delivers your request to us and our replies to you
Cloudflare, which protects the site and runs the security check on the form (Turnstile)
Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on this site and receives your IP address when the page loads

When we plan your wedding together, we share only what is needed with the venues and vendors you choose to work with. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep consultation requests for as long as we need them to respond, plan your event and keep reasonable business records. We keep your email address for updates until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can opt out of marketing emails whenever you like. Depending on where you live, including under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act where it applies, you may have additional rights. To make a request, email [email protected] and we will respond within 45 days.

Keeping it safe

The site runs only over an encrypted connection, the form is protected against bots, and access to consultation requests is limited to Olive & Champagne. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.

Children

Our services are for adults planning weddings. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
